Information we collect
We process account details, contact information, CVs and job descriptions submitted for analysis, applicant information uploaded by authorised enterprise customers, analysis results, subscription and payment records, support and feedback messages, consent records, referral codes and attribution records, affiliate agreement and commission records, and limited technical and security information. Google or LinkedIn sign-in provides only the identity information and permissions approved by the user. MyValidCV does not receive your social-account password.
Why we use information
We use personal information to provide accounts and requested services, compare CVs with job descriptions, produce candidate-support or enterprise screening reports, administer subscriptions and payments, prevent abuse, secure and improve the service, respond to requests, and meet legal obligations. Depending on the activity, the lawful basis is performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, consent for optional analytics or marketing, or compliance with law.
Recruitment and automated analysis
MyValidCV provides decision-support guidance. Scores and recommendations do not guarantee employment and must not be treated as the sole hiring decision. Enterprise customers are responsible for lawful candidate notices, hiring decisions, and human review. The platform is designed not to rank candidates by age or protected characteristics. Applicants may ask the relevant enterprise employer to explain or review a hiring decision.
Sharing and processors
Information may be processed by providers needed for hosting, database storage, email, payments, authentication, consented analytics, security, and technical support. Enterprise applicant information is available to the authorised enterprise account that uploaded it. We do not sell personal information. We disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections should be used. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
Retention
Uploaded individual and enterprise candidate CV records are configured for deletion after 30 days unless a shorter period is required or the service clearly states otherwise. Account, consent, transaction, security, and audit records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose, contractual requirements, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Anonymised or aggregated statistics may be retained longer where they no longer identify an individual.
Security
We use access controls, permission separation, audit records, encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted administrative functions, and other proportionate safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not upload information unnecessary for the requested analysis.
Analytics, referrals and communications
Optional analytics and affiliate-link attribution run only after the relevant separate choice. Declining referral tracking does not affect service access; a customer may enter a referral code manually during checkout. Essential cookies remain necessary for login, security, and core service operation. Marketing communications require an applicable lawful basis and can be opted out of.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting support@myvalidcv.com. We may need to verify your identity.
